Privacy and data handling

AIOS Repository Backup is a private tool used by its owner to preserve and verify their configured Git repository. It does not provide a public service or accept other users' repository data.

Google access

The tool requests Google's drive.file authorization. It creates a backup folder and new snapshot or verification files, and reads retained snapshots for recovery verification. This scope is limited to app-created files and files the owner selects or shares with the app; the tool does not request broad access to the owner's Drive.

Use and storage

Git archives include repository history, file contents and Git references, which may include author metadata. They are stored privately in the owner's Google Drive. Local staging archives, upload receipts and restore evidence are held on the owner's computer. OAuth credentials are kept under an isolated local backup user and are not placed in the protected repository or public website.

Sharing

The tool uses Google Drive to store and retrieve recovery data. It does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, transmit it to model providers, or make repository archives public. Google user data is used only for the backup and recovery functions described here. Use follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Retention and owner control

Snapshots are retained for recovery; automatic deletion is not configured. The owner controls the Google account, backup folder and app authorization. Revoking authorization prevents future authenticated runs but does not automatically delete existing backups. Backup administration and retention changes remain separate from the capture process.
